Gaetano Pesce

Gaetano Pesce (La Spezia, 1939 - New York, 2024) was an internationally renowned architect, designer and artist, known for his radical and experimental approach to design.
He studied architecture at the University of Venice and, while still a student, had a brief but significant involvement with Gruppo N.
In 1983, Pesce moved to New York, where he founded Fish Design, a company through which he carried out projects in various fields, including architecture, urban planning, interior design and industrial design.
Pesce revolutionized the concept of the functional object by introducing innovative materials such as resin and polyurethane foam, creating unique and provocative pieces that challenged aesthetic conventions.
His works, often colorful and asymmetrical, celebrated imperfection, individuality and change.
